Medical Advisory Committee

General Information

To approach healthcare on a multidisciplinary and global level and increase cross-disciplinary outreach, education and collaboration, the ISN has created a new committee to work more effectively and closely with other related medical specialties (diabetes, hypertension, cardiology, transplantation). The ISN Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) was set up in 2006 to identify and engage in collaborative relationships with non-renal medical groups and organizations. Such interaction with other related medical specialties and their professional organizations have, and will become, increasingly important for the ISN.

Activities

An initial focus is to identify and develop relationships with the key international organizations with a view towards developing several joint symposia in international conferences in 2007 and 2008. Later activities are likely to include collaborations on guidelines and timely publications.
