World Kidney Day 2010

Next World Kidney Day will be held on Thursday 11 March 2010.

The focus for 2010 will be on Diabetes, the most common cause of kidney failure.

The mission of World Kidney Day is to increase awareness of the importance of our kidneys and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney diseases and their associated problems worldwide.

The main message is that Chronic Kidney Diseases are Common, Harmful and Treatable. World Kidney Day encourages governments worldwide to take actions for prevention and early detection.
