Bernardo Rodriguez-Iturbe is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Renal Service in the University Hospital and Medical School Maracaibo, Venezuela. He is a graduate from the Universidad del Zulia, Medical School. His training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology were done in the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is past-president of the Latin American Society of Nephrology and Hypertension (SLANH) and immediate Past-President of the International Society of Nephrology.
