Sree Bhushan Raju

S.B. Raju pic Dr. Sree Bhushan Raju, joined Nizams Institute of medical Sciences a faculty in july 2002 after obtaining DM degree from the prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi. He was a recipient of Prof HL Trivedi gold medalist in DNB (nephrology) in the year 2002. He received the fellowships from Indian College of Physicians (FICP), Indian society of Nephrology (FISN) and Indian academy of Clinical Medicine (FIACM). He has published around 30 papers including 7 chapters and presented around 50 papers in various conferences. He is one of the principal investigators of CKD task force by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to evaluate the prevalence of CKD in adult urban population in India.

He is one of the very few specialists with MBA in health care management in the country. Main areas of interest are clinical nephrology, CAPD and CRRT. The department is one of the largest in the country with 8 faculty and 12 fellows. The department caters to 25000 new patients every year and active in patient care (around 600 real biopsies, 100 renal transplants including an active deceased donor transplant programme, and nearly 100 PD catheter insertions, every year) as well as clinical research.

He is the reviewer for several national and international journals like nephron, PDI, diabetes care, IJN etc.
