United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) is the private, non-profit organization that manages the organ transplant system in the U.S. under contract with the federal government. The website contains physician and patient-oriented resources and a useful online database system, called UNet, which collects, stores, analyzes and publishes OPTN data that pertains to the patient waiting list, organ matching, and transplants.
