Despite significant advances in nephrology, equitable access to high-quality kidney care remains an unmet goal, especially in underserved communities around the world. This vital webinar—organized by the ISN Kidney Health Professionals Working Group (KHPWG)—shines a spotlight on global efforts led by dedicated nephrology nurses who are implementing real-world solutions to overcome barriers in care delivery.
From the early identification of CKD in rural Tanzania, to addressing the economic burden of dialysis in Hong Kong, and providing dignified end-of-life care guidance, this session will showcase adaptive, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered initiatives. These examples provide actionable insights for kidney health professionals working in vastly different healthcare systems but united by a common goal: ensuring no one is left behind on the path to kidney health.
Learning Goals:
-
Identify practical strategies to expand CKD screening and prevention in low- and middle-income countries.
