Kidney International (KI) Reports was launched by ISN and Elsevier in June. Now, this new publication has reached the 25-published research article threshold. It has also been officially added to Elsevier’s list of journals ready to apply for PubMed Central indexing.

The call for nominations is now open for the Lillian Jean Kaplan International Prize for Advancement in the Understanding of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). Deadline is October 1st, 2016.

KI is happy to announce that its Impact Factor for the year ending in 2015 is 7.683.

ISN Education has released video presentations from the ISN Nexus Symposium held in Berlin, Germany from April 14 to 17, 2016. This content comes from the congress sessions on “Humoral Mediators” and “Immune Cell Depletion.” More will be released later this month.

ISN members can now propose candidates for the Alfred Newton Richards, The Jean Hamburger and the Roscoe R. Robinson awards. Deadline is July 29, 2016. Nominations for the ISN Pioneer in Nephrology Awards are also now open. Send us your suggestions before the same deadline.

This new bi-monthly, open access journal will publish leading research and developments related to kidney disease.

Kidney International (KI) Reports is now accepting submissions, especially relating to clinical trials, epidemiology, systematic reviews and outcome research.

ISN is taking extra steps to increase its impact on kidney care in low-resource countries and is delighted to announce that doctors, scientists, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, and technicians from countries categorized by the World Bank as low income can now join ISN as free members and receive ISN member benefits.

Starting January 2016, online access to Nature Reviews Nephrology (NRN) is no longer available to ISN members.

In partnership with the Latin-American Society of Nephrology and Hypertension (SLANH), ISN Education is pleased to release presentations from SLANH’s Online Course: AKI in Primary Health Care. These presentations are in Spanish and were part of a previous online e-learning module.

As of January 2016, Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, is publishing Kidney International (KI).

This week, ISN Education is sharing its latest resources on the topic of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). The team have added two new video presentations from the AKI & CRRT Conference 2015 held in San Diego, California last February.

It has now been over 10 years since the Canadian Society of Nephrology (CSN) became a collective member of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN).

Gina Nazareth, President of the Philippine Society of Nephrology recently met with ISN President Adeera Levin. The Philippine Society is actively working towards becoming an ISN Collective Member Society.

ISN regrets to announce the passing of Professor Wan-Yu Chen on March 4, 2015. A leader in his field with many achievements to his name, the Taiwan Society of Nephrology (TSN) pays tribute to his role in advancing nephrology.

The ISN General Assembly will meet on Monday March 16, 2015 to hear and discuss the reports from ISN President Giuseppe Remuzzi and Secretary General Ricardo Correa Rotter.

ISN’s Kidney International and Kidney International Supplements to be published by Elsevier as of January 2016.

ISN is sad to announce the passing of Hai-yan Wang. Professor Wang was Director of the Institute of Nephrology at Peking University since its inception in 1990 through to 2014.

She was the former Chair of the ISN East Asia Regional Committee and recently received an ISN Pioneer Award for her efforts in nephrology.

You are invited to submit original research articles on renal diseases in children as well as on fluid and electrolyte metabolism, a clinical quiz on pediatric nephrology, letters to the editor and review articles to African Journal of Paediatric Nephrology (Afr J Paed Nephrol). The manuscript may be written in English or French.
