Commission on the Global Advancement of Nephrology (COMGAN)
General Information
To provide an umbrella for all of the Society’s outreach programs in the developing world, in the mid-1990s ISN created the Commission on the Global Advancement of Nephrology (COMGAN).
Arguably one of the largest medical specialty outreach programs in the world, COMGAN works with national and regional societies and local leaders to identify educational and clinical needs.
COMGAN meets these needs by developing post-graduate continuing medical education (CME) programs with local physician organizers. Through COMGAN, ISN has reached areas of the globe previously limited in exposure to formal nephrology education and practice.
Activities
The COMGAN Regional Subcommittees help to coordinate COMGAN?s efforts around the world.
