ISN launches monthly e-update

In my role as President of the International Society of Nephrology, I am proud to announce, on behalf of the entire Executive Committee and Council of ISN, the launch of the new ISN e-update

As part of the enhancement of the Society’s communications program, which also includes the creation of this new website, the e-update will offer a regular, monthly communication service. This new service is designed to give the full flavor of the activities of the ISN and news of breaking developments in our field. News will be outlined in brief and will often be linked directly to the new ISN website where a longer and more detailed description of the story can be found

The e-update will complement the existing quarterly ISN news print publication by offering news and information that is more pressing and timely for our members. It may often be the case that news and events outlined in the new service will be explored in much greater depth in the quarterly print publication. The quarterly ISN news will continue to offer member profiles, in-depth articles and discussions of trends in nephrology

In the first instance, the monthly e-update will be distributed in a simple, plain text format, as an email. But an HTML version, offering more attractive layout and design, will simultaneously be posted on the website. It is hoped that, as time goes by all ISN members will be able to access the HTML version via e-mail. If this is the case we will then move to mailing this version of the monthly e-update directly
