High Blood Pressure Stakeholder Group

The report put together by the London School of Economics in collaboration with the Karolinska University in Stockholm and supported by an eminent group of major regional and international societies in the fields of hypertension, cardiology, stroke, diabetes and nephrology (including ISN) launched at the European Parliament, calls for an immediate concerted public policy effort to manage the threat posed by high blood pressure. The report found that while high blood pressure already affects one in four adults globally, by the year 2025 it is likely to affect 1.56 billion and immediate action needs to be taken.
