Continuing Medical Education Program
Through ISN’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) program, the Society brings essential teaching and training to some 14,000 doctors and health care practitioners in the emerging world annually. These medical professionals would otherwise be limited in their exposure to formal nephrology education.
Programs typically focus on:
- General Nephrology
- Prevention of CKD
- Basic Science
- Hemodialysis
- Peritoneal Dialysis
- Transplantation
- Renal Pathology
- Tropical Nephrology
Renal Registries
Prevention, dialysis and transplantation are three of the most requested CME topics. Virtually every national nephrology society in the world has partnered with ISN to offer prevention, dialysis and/or transplantation programs, and many do so on a regular basis.
ISN’s roster of just over 200 speakers includes most of the world’s leading authorities in the field. They participate on a completely volunteer basis.

Help and advice in establishing a suitable scientific program developed to meet the precise needs of the local nephrological community.
Advice in selecting expert speakers in relation to the scientific program.
Funding the travel of a maximum of three ISN GO Program sponsored speakers.
Involving the ISN GO regional sub-committee for advice and support.
