ISN was extremely pleased to have funded the first training for principal investigators and project managers from clusters in Bolivia, Malawi, Nepal and Tanzania, taking part in the 0by25 Pilot Feasibility Project. This took place at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) facilities from July 16 to 19, 2016.

Raising Awareness of AKI: A Call to Arms

Ravi MehtaWorldwide, acute kidney injury (AKI) is now well recognized to be associated with poor patient outcomes including mortality, development of chronic kidney disease and increased resource utilization. While this knowledge has generated considerable interest and led to significant advances in defining the pathophysiology and underlying mechanisms, there is still considerable lack of understanding of the condition among physicians, allied personnel and the lay public.
