Vivek Kute is in the Faculty of Nephrology and Transplantation at Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Center- Dr.HL Trivedi Institute of Transplantation Sciences, Ahmedabad, India since 2011;the center performing the highest number of kidney transplants (400 kidney transplantations in year 2013) in India. He was honored with Young Investigator Award in24th International Congress of Transplantation Society, Berlin and Bansal Oration in 43rd Annual Conference of Indian Society of Nephrology (ISN), Ahmedabad. He has presented research papers for Young Investigator Award in 41stAnnual Congress of ISN, Trivandrum, India; published 84 papers in peer reviewed journals andmade oral presentations in various conferences (TTS, AST, WCN, CTS,ISN, ISHDand ISOT). He was awarded Gujarat University Gold Medal for Nephrology and Fellowship of American Society of Nephrology for his academic excellence. UnderProf. Trivedi’s mentorship, his work is mainly focused on expanding donor pool and kidney-paired donation (KPD) transplantation.
