Profile description and training plan:
I am Gambian by nationality. I have completed my membership training Internal Medicine for both West African College of Physician and Ghana College of Physician. My interests in nephrology and serious need for a Nephrologist in my country of 1.7million with no indigenous Consultant Nephrologists have been my motivation to complete this fellowship. The program is mainly involves clinical teaching as per the regional and national college curriculum. Daily ward rounds, four times weekly clinical teaching in the form of case, journal, mortality, audit presentation, grand rounds and three times weekly clinic. As a fellow in training you are rotating within procedure clinic and ward work. There are three monthly appraisals for fellows. The training end with terminal examination at the end of the two years.
