Import iTunes M4V to iMovie, edit iTunes M4V TV episodes, movies, music videos with iMovie

M4V is a file container format used by Apple to encode TV episodes, movies, and music videos in the iTunes store. The copyright of M4V files may be protected by using Apple’s FairPlay DRM copyright protection.

To import copy-protected iTunes M4V files to iMovie, your computer must be authorized(using iTunes) with the account that was used to purchase the video. If not, you first have to remove the DRM protection with a DRM Removal.

Unprotected M4V files with AC3 audio can be imported and edit with iMovie by converting the M4V file formats to iMovie supportable MP4, MOV, DV, HDV formats with M4V to iMovie Converter.
