Dear ISN Member*: The Blackwell-Synergy Website was recently upgraded to permit faster and more efficient access to online subscriptions to medical journals. The upgrade process has, unfortunately, created access problems for some ISN members. The instructions for accessing Kidney International online are listed below. Please follow these instructions to register for online access to your society’s journal(s) via the online journals delivery service from Blackwell Publishing, called Blackwell Synergy. You only need to use your Offer Code once and you will then be able to access the journal(s) online through Blackwell Synergy. Step 1: If you have already registered on Blackwell Synergy a. Go to www.blackwell-synergy.com b. Enter your Username and Password at the top of the page. c. Click ‘Login’. d. Your name will now appear at the top of the homepage and you can go straight to Step 3.
Step 2: If you are new to Blackwell Synergy, please register
a. Go to www.blackwell-synergy.com b. Click on ‘Register’ at the top of the page. c. Complete the registration page (remembering your choice of Username and Password for later). d. Your name will now appear at the top of the homepage and you can go straight to Step 3.
Step 3: How to access the full-text of articles a. Click on the ‘My Synergy’ button at the top of the page. b. Click on the ‘Access’ tab. c. In the Offer Code box, enter your Offer Code: ISN. Click Continue. d. In the Last Name box, enter your last name. e. In the Member ID box, enter your Member ID (KI Member Number or User ID) Click Continue. f. Your subscriptions will now be listed on the Journals tab. You can access your journal(s) from here or directly from the Synergy homepage. And for next time you want to access the online journal… a. Go to www.blackwell-synergy.com b. Enter your Username and Password at the top of the page and click ‘Login’. c. Select the journal you wish to access. You can choose to view just subscribed journals or all journals alphabetically or by subject, from the dropdown menu. d. Enjoy using your journal(s) online! Any questions?
