1- HOW DO I RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP OR BECOME A NEW MEMBER?

To join ISN as a new member, please visit the Apply for Membership page.

To renew your ISN membership, please login to the Member Login page and renew online. If you forgot your membership login details, please email [email protected].

2- WHEN WILL MY MEMBERSHIP START?

ISN has a rolling membership. Membership starts the date payment is received and ends one year later (unless multi-year membership is selected).

3- HOW DO I APPLY FOR IN-TRAINING MEMBERSHIP?

To join as In-Training member, please submit an application and submit the required documents via upload link provided to you via confirmation email.

4- WHAT IS JOINT MEMBERSHIP?

The ISN Joint Membership Program enables 2-10 individuals from emerging countries to enjoy a group ISN membership at the reduced total rate of US$ 155 per year (US$ 134 per year for discount renewal fee). One subscription to the print edition of Kidney International will be shared amongst the group members whilst online access and all other ISN benefits can be enjoyed on an individual basis.

5- IS THERE A DEADLINE FOR RENEWING MY MEMBERSHIP?

ISN Membership is valid for one year (unless multi-year membership is selected). Automated communications will be sent out from 3 months prior to membership expiration. Members receive a discounted renewal rate if membership is renewed prior to the expiration date. Renewals received after the expiration date risk disruption in member benefits and will be  renewed at the full member rate.

6- HOW DO I CHANGE MY ACCOUNT DETAILS?

If you would like to change details of your account – such as your e-mail address and work or home address details:

  • Please login to the ISN members portal and access the Update My Profile page.
  • You may also send an e-mail to ISN membership services at [email protected]. Your request will be dealt with within the shortest delays.

7- WHAT CONTENT CAN I ACCESS ON THE ISN WEB PORTAL?

As an ISN member you can access Kidney International Online, Nature Reviews Nephrology, the membership directory and other members-only features that are launched regularly.

8- HOW CAN I SUBSCRIBE TO THE ISN WEB PORTAL?

To enjoy access to the member-only sections of the ISN web portal you must be an ISN member. Please visit the Become a Member page for all information about member benefits and application procedures.

9- I AM A MEMBER OF THE ISN: HOW DO I ACCESS THE MEMBERS-ONLY SECTIONS ON THE ISN WEB PORTAL?

Simply by signing in to the Member Login page.

10- I’M HAVING PROBLEMS LOGGING IN VIA THE SIGN-IN AREA. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you cannot login: click on the “Forgot my password?” link in the Member Login page. You will receive an automated e-mail containing a new password.

If you can login successfully, but cannot access restricted content, such as Full Text Kidney International Articles: send an e-mail to [email protected] containing your name, e-mail, and ISN ID number. You will receive an e-mail from the ISN’s membership administration indicating that your account has been checked, your access has been granted, and reminding you of your current login name and password.

If your login does not work, please clear your web browser cache. Clearing your Web browser cache forces the browser to load the latest versions of Web pages and programs you visit.

For Internet Explorer 4.x and Up

Click “Tools” from the Internet Explorer menubar
Click “Internet Options…”
Click the “General” Tab
Click the “Delete Files” button in the “Temporary Internet files” section
If you still have a problem, repeat the steps above and restart the computer.

For Netscape 4.x and Up

Click “Edit” from the Netscape menubar
Click “Preferences…” from the “Edit” menu
Expand the “Advanced” menu by clicking the triangle sign
Click “Cache”
Click both the “Clear Memory Cache” and the “Clear Disk Cache” buttons.

For Mozilla 1.x and Up

Click “Edit” from the Mozilla menubar
Click “Preferences…” from the “Edit” menu
Expand the “Advanced” menu by clicking the plus sign
Click “Cache”
Click the “Clear Cache” button

For Mozilla 3.x and Up

Click “Tools” from the Mozilla menubar, then select “Clear Private Data”
Select the “Cache” tickbox, and click on “Clear Private Data Now”

11- CAN I USE MY ISN USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO VIEW OTHER CONTENT ON NATURE.COM?

Nature.com is a separate website and uses a separate database. In order to establish a login with nature.com, please contact Nature Publishing Group (NPG) directly. Your ISN login details will not work on nature.com, unless you already established an account with NPG and you are using the same login details.
