Sister partnerships for 2015 Featured

Ward rounds Myanmar JFISN is happy to announce the results of the last round of applications for the ISN Sister Renal Center (SRC) Program. CLICK HERE to read the list of active pairs and trios for this year.

Congratulations to the two sister pairs Egypt-SKI and Tunisia-Belgium who have graduated from the program. 24 new centers have now joined the program at level C. First-time applications were received from Swaziland and Fiji.

This year, there are 44 active centers, with Africa as the country with the highest number of sister centers in the program. Intraregional collaboration is growing and SRC activities mainly focus on acute kidney injury (AKI) and general nephrology. More information about all the topics covered by these enters, CLICK HERE.

Many thanks to the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology (APSN) for its support in co-funding three SRC links from the OSEA region.

The ISN SRC program aims to enhance cooperation between nephrology centers worldwide. Its mission is to advance the practice of nephrology in the developing world by linking renal units with centers of excellence and providing different means of support and guidance.

After the centers graduate from the program, they can provide state-of-the-art clinical practice, become hubs for the diffusion of knowledge, training and implementation of disease-preventive strategies within their geographical outreach. They also potentially provide support to other centers within the same geographical region through the ISN SRC Trio Program.

The next application deadline for this program is: October 1, 2015.

If you plan to attend the ISN World Congress in Cape Town, make sure to visit the ISN Programs Poster session. SRC pairs will be there to showcase their achievements. CLICK HERE for further information.
