H4KH grant winners announced Featured

isn h4kh logoFollowing the call for applications, the Hydration for Kidney Health (H4KH) Committee is happy to announce the names of those who have been selected for the New Investigator and Hydration and Kidney Health grants.

The H4KH research initiative called for candidates from all disciplines relevant to kidney disease (clinical, health services and population health disciplines) with an interest in hydration for kidney health to apply for the following two research grants: New Investigator Grant ($70,000US over two years) and Hydration and Kidney Health Grant ($50,000US over two years).

Sofia Enhorning photoDr. Sofia Enh?rning, from Sk?ne University Hospital in Malm?, Sweden will receive Hydration and Kidney Health Grant for her project entitled “Plasma copeptin as a predictor of, and copeptin associated loci in, cardiorenal disease – population based prospective cohort studies and a mendelian randomization approach.

F Nerbass photoDr. Fabiana Nerbass, from the Funda??o Pr?-Rim in Joinville, Brazil will receive the New Investigator Grant for her project entitled “Kidney health in Brazilian industrial workers exposed to heat stress and dehydration.”

Danone Nutricia Research and the ISN have collaborated to create the Hydration for Kidney Health (H4KH) research initiative to stimulate the interest of established and new researchers to explore the role of hydration in kidney health.
