Susan Quaggin, a long standing member of the ISN, has now become the American Society of Nephrology’s newest Councilor. Dr. Quaggin will begin her term during ASN Kidney Week 2015 and will serve through Kidney Week 2022.
ISN announces with great regret the death of Priscilla Kincaid-Smith of Melbourne, Australia. She was ISN President 1972-75, and until this year had been ISN’s only woman President.
ISN is delighted to announce that today the Government of Canada has appointed Adeera Levin as a Member of the Order of Canada.
Between the talks and debates at the recent World Congress of Nephrology, the ISN awards were handed out to those who have made exceptional contributions to nephrology.

ISN is delighted to announce that ISN President Elect Adeera Levin has been selected by the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) as the recipient of this year’s Aubrey J. Tingle Prize. The prize will be presented in partnership with LifeSciences BC at their annual awards banquet on Thursday April 16, 2015.
ISN announces with regret the death of Gabriel Richet. One of the early giants of French and international nephrology, he was a founding member of ISN. Among his many roles in ISN leadership, he was co-General Secretary of ISN’s first Congress in Geneva and Evian in 1960, and ISN President from 1981-84.
ISN announces with regret the death of Claus Brun. He was ISN’s second President (1963-1966).
