This week in ISN Education Featured


ISN Education has released video presentations from the ISN Nexus Symposium held in Berlin, Germany from April 14 to 17, 2016. This content comes from the congress sessions on "Humoral Mediators" and "Immune Cell Depletion." More will be released later this month.

ISN members can now propose candidates for the Alfred Newton Richards, The Jean Hamburger and the Roscoe R. Robinson awards. Deadline is July 29, 2016. Nominations for the ISN Pioneer in Nephrology Awards are also now open. Send us your suggestions before the same deadline.

Send your submissions to KI Reports Featured


Kidney International (KI) Reports is now accepting submissions, especially relating to clinical trials, epidemiology, systematic reviews and outcome research.

ISN is taking extra steps to increase its impact on kidney care in low-resource countries and is delighted to announce that doctors, scientists, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, and technicians from countries categorized by the World Bank as low income can now join ISN as free members and receive ISN member benefits.

In November 2015, during ASN Kidney Week, we organized our regular Affiliated Society meeting to gather all representatives so they could learn more about ISN and strengthen partnerships or create valuable training opportunities for nephrologists.

As of January 2016, Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, is publishing Kidney International (KI).

This week, ISN Education is sharing its latest resources on the topic of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). The team have added two new video presentations from the AKI & CRRT Conference 2015 held in San Diego, California last February.

It has now been over 10 years since the Canadian Society of Nephrology (CSN) became a collective member of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN).

A tribute to Hai-yan Wang Featured


China 03ISN is sad to announce the passing of Hai-yan Wang. Professor Wang was Director of the Institute of Nephrology at Peking University since its inception in 1990 through to 2014.

She was the former Chair of the ISN East Asia Regional Committee and recently received an ISN Pioneer Award for her efforts in nephrology.

Death of Tareq Suhaimat


We regret to announce the death of ISN member,  Dr. Tareq Suhaimat.  He was the founder and the first President of the Jordan Society of Nephrology, the immediate Past-president of the Arab Society of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation, and in 2013 was the first recipient of the ISN Pioneer Award for the Middle East region.
